Geriatric Medicine

This guide begins with an introduction to Geriatric Medicine: what it is, why it matters, and the various healthcare delivery settings. Aging and drugs are considered, followed by an in-depth discussion of various geriatric syndromes and chronic medical conditions before concluding with hospice and palliative care topics. The primary author is Lenny Powell DO, MS, CMD, assistant professor in the Department of Geriatrics and Gerontology and the Department of Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine at Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine, however, this work is a compilation of work done by others with organization, additional narrative, and visualizations. This project initially started as a review guide for my students and evolved into a book. However, due to the demands and frequent updates I plan to make to this work, I have transitioned it from a physical book to an electronic one. It is a work in constant progress; others are encouraged to add information (subject to review) and contribute!
