The raisin is a dried grape.
Raisins are normally a dark brown-purple color, from the original grape color made darker by oxidation.
When light-colored grapes are used and treated with sulfur dioxide, the resulting raisins will be yellow. They may then be called yellow raisins, golden raisins, or sultanas.
