A hot dog (also known as a frankfurter) is a variant on a sandwich, or the sausage inside, usually made of beef. In consists of a bun and a frankfurter sausage, and usually has a variety of toppings, including ketchup, mustard, relish, onions, and pickles. Cheese is also a popular topping for Hot Dogs. Hot Dogs range in size, and can be up to a foot long.
When wrapped in bacon and deep-fried, it is known as a Danger dog when served with mayonnaise and as a Jersey breakfast dog when served on a fried egg and cheese.[1]
