Snake Island is in Lagos City/Mainland in South West Nigeria.
Understand
Snake Island is 14 kilometers long and 1.4 kilometers broad, and it is located across the water from Tin Can Island Port in Apapa. The island isn't as developed as some of Nigeria's other islands.
The name comes from the land's snake-like, elongated shape, and it's on Nigeria's first dry dockyard. This facility, which was built with Polish assistance in 1970 and can accommodate a large number of heavy-duty ships, was opened to the public in 1970.
