- 🌍 Saint-Georges Church.
- 🌍 St. Faith's Church. A major Romanesque architecture landmark built over a very short time span (only ten years, from 1170 to 1180).
- 🌍 Château du Haut-Kœnigsbourg (Haut Koenigbourg Castle), Orschwiller (14 km west of Sélestat via the D159), ☏ +33 3 69 33 25 00. 9:15am to 5:15pm. Medieval castle situated in a strategic location on a rocky spur overlooking the Upper Rhine Plain. This castle is a reconstructed (late 1800s) 15th century castle. The castle was sieged and demolished in 1630. It sat for 250 years or so, then was rebuilt a little over a hundred years ago. And awesome reconstruction overall. However, there is nothing like an original castle to visit.
- 🌍 Château Kintzheim, Kintzheim (7 km west of Sélestat via the D424 and D159). Small ruined castle built around a cylindrical refuge-tower. Converted into an aviary for birds of prey.
- 🌍 Château du Bernstein, Dambach-la-Ville (12 km north-west of Sélestat via the D35). Open 24 hours. Ruined castle, among the oldest in Alsace. Free.
