Santa Cecília is in the Serrana of Santa Catarina.
Understand
Santa Cecília is a small town, culturally influenced by the rural ways of the farm, by the mountain caboclo, coming from the mixture of the Indian with the tropeiros and European immigrants. The people carry traces of the tropeira culture, with influences from São Paulo and Rio Grande do Sul.
It sits on the Santa Catarina plateau, with vast pine forests, in the middle of Serra Geral, being one of the municipalities with the coldest climate in all of Brazil.
