- π Kunohe Castle (δΉζΈε). The site was believed to have been the site of the final battle in Toyotomi Hideyoshi's campaign to unify Japan. Nobunao Nanbu was chosen by Toyotomi to take Ninohe Castle, but Masazane Kunohe whose family built the castle in 1501 would not relinquish the territory. Nanbu sent 65,000 troops to force Kunohe out.
