Cadgwith (Cornish: Porthkajwydh) is a small fishing village located in the Duchy of Cornwall, England.

Get in

Visiting Cadgwith by car is recommended. The village can also be reached by bus.

By car

Heading along the A394 south towards Helston follow the A3083 towards Lizard then following signs towards Ruan Minor. A car park is located just above the village. Access to the village itself by vehicle is restricted to residents only.

By bus

First Kernow operate bus services from Redruth station via Helston to Ruan Minor a 15 minute walk from the village.

Get around

Exploration around the village is only possible by foot.

See

  • 🌍 St. Mary's Church. A small tin church located just above the harbour built as a mission church for the local fishermen
  • 🌍 The Todden. The divide between Cadgwith's two coves offers views out to sea and of the harbour from above

Do

  • Coastal Path. Walks either towards the Lizard, or Kennack Sands beaches via Poltesco valley. The valley is maintained by the National Trust and is the site of a former 19th century serpentine works.
