Vicente Merino

Vice Admiral Vicente Merino Bielich (21 May 1889[1] – 30 January 1977[2]) was a Chilean naval officer and political figure.[3] He commanded the Chilean Navy during World War II and the Battle of the Caribbean.

In this Spanish name, the first or paternal surname is Merino and the second or maternal family name is Bielich.
