- Orthodox Church of Ukraine (OCU), the largest Eastern Orthodox church in Ukraine. It was established under the ecclesiastical jurisdiction of the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople by a unification council that convened in Kyiv on 15 December 2018.
- Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC), which was formed in 1990 out of the former Ukrainian Exarchate of the Russian Orthodox Church. Between 1990 and 2022, it was a "self-governing church with the rights of broad autonomy" under the jurisdiction of the Moscow Patriarchate. It declared its independence on 27 May 2022 in reaction to Patriarch Kirill's endorsement of Russia's full-scale invasion of their country.
