Albirex Niigata Singapore
In 2021, Kawanishi joins Albirex Niigata Singapore for the 2021 Singapore Premier League season. He signed a 1 year contract extension that see him play for the club till the end of the 2022 season. Kawanishi helped the club won the 2022 Singapore Premier League title.
Albion Rovers
Kawanisihi than goes on to play for Albion Rovers currently playing in the Australian Victorian State League 2.
