The Dapifer
The Dapifer is an independent Fashion publication that focuses on editorial photography, fashion industry news, art, and street wear. It was founded by Lakenya Kelly during his undergraduate studies at Cornell University in 2010.[1] Initially starting as a small streetwear blog, it later released its first print issue in October 2011, maintaining a limited print release schedule since then. The publication has featured notable cover models, including eye wear designers such as Coco & Breezy and Aamito Lagum, winner of Africa's Next Top Model.[2] As of February 2017, The Dapifer is owned by its founder and editor-in-chief, Lakenya Kelly.[1]

The fashion media platform has collaborated with various brands and agencies, including Ford Models, Wilhelmina Models, New York Models, Alexander McQueen, Saint Laurent, and La Jolla Fashion Film Festival. The Dapifer also regularly collaborates with contemporary visual artists, such as Brooklyn-based painter Michael Alan. The publication has gained recognition in major media outlets and events, including being featured in "Five New York City Events that You'll be Mad you Missed" by AXS and Models.com.[3][4] In July 2016, Lakenya Kelly was appointed as a judge at La Jolla Fashion Film Festival alongside publications like L'Officiel. Online platforms
In response to the changing media landscape and the decline of print media, The Dapifer transitioned its operations to digital publishing in 2015. The publication introduced iOS and Android apps facilitate mobile access to its digital content.[6] [7]
In 2016, The Dapifer launched an online networking platform known as The Dapifer: The List. This platform serves as a career resource for professionals in the fields of photography, modeling, styling, and creative arts. It is designed to facilitate networking and career development and can be compared to other networking sites like Modern Mayhem.
