Tehreek-e-Soutul Awliya

Tehreek-e-Soutul Awliya (abbreviated as T.S.A. lit. 'Movement of the Voice of Saints') also written as Tehreek-e-Soutul Auliya is an Indian Islamic Barelvi Sunni religious seminary and Non-governmental organization based in the Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir.[1][2][3][4] It was founded by Maulana Abdul Rashid Dawooodi in 2005 as a Small seminary.[5][6] The organize Soutul Awliya conference annually.[7]

History

Tehreek-e-Soutul Awliya was announced in 2005 by Abdul Rashid Dawood[8][9][10][11][12] during an Islamic conference held in Anantnag district. The organisation was established by Islamic scholar Yaseen Akhtar Misbahi.[13] Later, Fayaz Ahmed Razvi was appointed as its president and Muhammad Yusuf Baba as the general secretary of the organisation.[14][15]

In 2022, the organisation has nearly 500 members.

Activities
  • TSA organizes its annual conference whose proclaimed aim is to unite the Muslim community.
  • In September 2022, Jammu and Kashmir government arrested Molana Abdul Rashid Dawoodi along with some other prominent Islamic scholars on unknown grounds.[16]
