Stephen Stromberg is a member of the Washington Post editorial board.[1] He was part of the Washington Post team that won the 2022 Pulitzer Prize in Public Service.[2][1] His writing focuses on U.S. politics[3][1] and government,[4][5] healthcare, environment and energy.[6]

An Eagle Scout,[7] he was raised as a Mormon and has written about Mormonism.[8][9] While he primarily covers domestic politics and policy, he has also occasionally covered other areas of his interest, including sumo wrestling[10] and the television shows Rick and Morty[11] and Star Trek.[12] He is a Washington Nationals fan.[13] Prior to writing for The Washington Post, he covered American politics for The Economist.[14]

He is married to Post humor columnist Alexandra Petri and lives in Washington, D.C.[15] He grew up in Los Angeles[16] before attending Harvard University[17] where he was editorial chair of the Harvard Crimson.[18] Afterwards, he attended Oxford University, where he was executive editor of the Oxonian Review.[19]
