Silver Jack (artist)

Nandagopal Jayachandran, known professionally as Silver Jack is an Indian music composer. artist, producer and songwriter. Born and Raised in Thiruvananthapuram, India, he strolled into music at an early age. Nandagopal as an artist first released his single titled Summer in 2021. The song, released by veteran actor and Indian cinema legend Mohanlal through his Facebook page received significant acclaim. Nandagopal Jayachandran further released songs through his social media and became noticed as a budding artist.

Early life

Nandagopal Jayachandran was born on April 23, 1997, to Music Composer M. Jayachandran [1][2] and Entrepreneur Priya Jayachandran at Trivandrum. He has one younger brother, Karthik Gopal Jayachandran. Nandagopal Jayachandran completed his Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering from Mar Baselios College of Engineering and Technology in 2019 and his Master's in Aerospace Vehicle Design- Aircraft design from Cranfield University in 2022.

Career

Nandagopal cites listening to The Beatles as his earliest inspiration to ponder into music with Nandagopal studying Paul McCartney 's way of composition and songwriting.[3]

In 2021, he released his dream project "Summer", a song about unrequited love recorded in Chennai with musicians Keba Jeremiah and Kamalakar Rao. He composed the song in a 4/4 time period including modern jazz, cinematic and hip hop sounds which would further increase his interests towards music production.

In 2022, Nandagopal adopted the name Silver Jack and further released Singles through his YouTube and Instagram accounts receiving further notice within the online community. The official logo of silver jack is based on the Samurai armour of the Edo period

In 2023, he released his first album, "Remember" which garnered public acclaim in 2023.He has also released music videos for many of the singles and the album on YouTube and Instagram.

He has directed and edited most of the videos he post's online for his music videos. In 2023, he also released his fully orchestral single, "The Finale" recorded and produced completely in Logic Pro X.

Personal life

Nandagopal resides in London since 2022. He is an avid motorcycle fan and his first ever bike which was a gift from his mother was a KTM 390 series.
