Sibtain Raza Khan

Muhammad Sibtain Raza Khan Quadri[1] (1927–2015) also known as Ameen-e-Shari'at (Protector of Shariah) was an Islamic scholar,[2] Sufi and author from India. He is known for writing the Mazameen-e-Ameen-e-Shariat.[3][4][5][6][7]

Early life and education

Sibtain did initial studies with Hafiz Syed Shabbir Razvi Barelvi and became Hafiz. Later, he received training from Mufti-e-Azam Hind Mustafa Raza Khan Qadri Barelvi and Amjad Ali Aazmi[8][9][10]

Later life and legacy

Khan spent nearly 52 years of his life in Raipur by providing various Islamic services to the Muslim Community.[11] Many religious institutions have been named after him.[11] He died at the age of 93 on 9 November, 2015.[12] His Urs festival is celebrated annually, which is marked by various religious programmes.[13]
