Salaries of MLAs & MLCs

The net salary of the Member of Legislative Assembly/Member of Legislative Council varies from state to state. The following table shows the basic pay of MLA/MLC in each state of India.[17]

  1. In addition to the basic pay of 100,000, they also get a constituency allowance of 70,000 and office allowances of 60,000. This makes the total salary amounting to 230,000.
