Early life
Roy was born in Dum Dum of Kolkata. He graduated from IIT Kanpur and worked for an IT company in Delhi but left it to pursue his studies.[2]

He began his YouTube career back in 2010. Early on, he mostly sang Tagore's songs as it is with unusual instrumentals.
Controversies
2020 controversy
In 2020, Roy created a parody of Shedin Dujone, a song written by Rabindranath Tagore. The video attracted attention for its use of vulgar language, and a complaint was filed against Roy after teenagers wrote the lyrics on their bodies in the lead up to the Holi festival.[3] Roy was temporarily arrested following the incident.[4]
2022 abusive content case
In 2022, Roy published a post that has been described as derogatory and abusive, particularly toward Mamata Banerjee, Chief Minister of West Bengal.[5][6][7] Dey was arrested on 7 June, 2022.[8] He was granted bail on 21 June 2022.[9]
