History

Summary

Real Estate Doc was founded in 2017 in Singapore[1] by Ivan Lim and Eugene Lee,[2] as a software for digital transaction company. Ivan Lim came from a banking background and is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer, together with Eugene Lee, who came from a real estate background and is the Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of the company. Having faced similar issues during their time in banking and real estate, they came up with the idea for Redoc.co, which is a SaaS software to manage and digitize the business operations for real estate agents and brokers, as they believe there is a gap in the market for digitization of the real estate transaction process due to the lack of a unified software to handle all aspects of an agent’s business operations.

In 2019, Hoang Dang joined the company as Co-Founder and Chief Product Officer. In November 2021, Real Estate Doc established their office in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.[3] As of August 2023, there are 24 employees in total filling different positions such as developers, business analysts, testers, and designers.

Recognition

The company has enrolled in different events and contests since 2019:

  • In May 2019, Real Estate Doc entered the TOP10 Finalist of Echelon Asia Summit.[4]
  • In September 2020, Real Estate Doc made it to the 6 finalists of the BUILTWORLD Innovation Contest APAC.[5]
  • In December 2020, Real Estate Doc became the very first Singapore government pre-approved PSG solution for the Estate Agents category.[6]

Product

Redoc.co is the main product of the company, which was launched in 2019.[7] This end-to-end integrated SaaS platform allows users to conduct transactions of properties and simplifies the process of creating, approving, and e-signing contracts. The target audience of the product is real estate businesses and agents. The platform is available as a web-app.

Besides the aforementioned core features, in 2021, Redoc.co integrated Zoom due to COVID-19 limiting physical contact between agents and their clients. This provides users with the ability to enable and record video witnessing when e-signing.[8]

In 2022, Redoc.co integrated with Singapore’s national digital ID, Singpass,[9] to enable Sign with Singpass on the platform, allowing agents to utilize the e-signing capabilities of the national provider. MyInfo, another of Singapore’s national personal data service, was integrated in 2023 to allow agents to auto-pull clients’ information with the clients’ permission.

In 2023, Redoc.co announced a partnership with Ingenique, an AML service provider, which provides users access to Ingenique’s AML services directly through the Redoc.co platform.
