Raymund C. King
Raymund Camilo Delarosa King (born July 18, 1964) is a Filipino-American attorney, physician, author, and entrepreneur.[1][2] He is an Otorhinolaryngologist and practiced medicine in Oklahoma City during the Oklahoma City Bombing in 1995.[3][4]
He is founder of the Law Offices of Raymund C. King, MD, JD, PLLC, and Mariposa King Studios LLC in New Mexico and Texas.[1] He is also a managing partner of Kappa Distribution, LP, a Christian film distribution company in Burbank, California.[3]
Education
King completed his B.A. in Biology from the University of Dallas in 1986, M.D. from the University of Texas Medical School in 1990,[4][1] and J.D. from the Oklahoma City University (OCU) School of Law in 2000.[3]
Career
King had his residency training in Otolaryngology/Head & Neck Surgery at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center and practiced medicine for ten years as an Otorhinolaryngologist in Oklahoma City.[1]
A week after treating the Oklahoma City Bombing victims on April 19, 1995, King switched careers by obtaining a law degree at the Oklahoma City University School of Law.[5][1]
King is the founder of the Law Offices of Raymund C. King, MD, JD, PLLC., in Plano, Texas, established in 2005.[1][6] King is a managing partner of Kappa Distribution, a film distribution company in Burbank, California.[3] From November 2019 to 2022, he was the president and CEO at Mariposa King Studios in New Mexico. He is the serving president and CEO at Mariposa King Studios in Texas.[5]
King has also appeared on several podcasts, including BulletProof Mindset by Rob and Dale,[4] International Talk With LisaKay & Taylor,[7] Simply Shemane Show,[8] and The Jeff Crilley Show.[9]
Memberships
King is a partner for Superstar Events, LLC, the organizer of the Night of Superstars charity events[10] and is on the Board of Directors of The Peace Fund.[6]
King served two terms as chair of the ABA’s Medicine and Law Committee of the Tort Trial and Insurance Practice Section (TIPS). He was appointed to the ABA Standing Committee on Medical Professional Liability.[1] King is a retired member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery.
At 25, he was inducted into the Academy of Magical Arts, also known as the Hollywood Magic Castle, as a magician member.[3]
