Ralph Suikat

Ralph Suikat (born 1965) is a German businessman and politician, a member of the Bündnis Sahra Wagenknecht.

Life

Ralph Suikat is a public administration specialist (Dipl. Verwaltungswirt). He founded the IT company "STP Informationstechnologie AG" with a partner in 1993.[1]

In 2013 he founded "Fairantwortung" (a portmanteau of "fair" and the German term for responsibility "Verantwortung") initiative to amplify a sustainable economic system. He repeatedly positions himself on sustainable topics.[2]

According to FAZ, Suikat sold shares of his IT-company "STP Informationstechnologie AG" in 2016, resulting in a considerable fortune.[2]

Suikat received media attention when he founded the organization "Taxmenow" together with other millionaires in 2021. There are now more than 60 members there who are campaigning for higher taxation of inheritances and assets.[3]

Suikat also runs "Impact Investing" through which he specifically supports projects that share his positions.[4]

At a federal press conference on 23 October 2023 by members of the Bundestag Sahra Wagenknecht, Amira Mohamed Ali, Christian Leye, the Bonn left-wing politician Lukas Schön and Suikat presented plans for a new party BSW, splitting from The Left. The main goal of the BSW association for the next time is to build the structure for the new party.
