Prajapathi Gothami Balika Vidyalaya
Prajapathi Gothami Balika Vidyalaya is the only girls' school in Ambalangoda, in Galle District, Southern Province of Sri Lanka.

History
In 1890 Mrs. L. Lora De Silva Jayawardana, daughter of Fredrick De Silva Jayawardana, started the school under the name “Gothami Balika Sheekshalaya” at the premises where the present Ambalangoda Zonal Education Office is situated, only with a very few students.
The declaration of Gothami Balika Vidyalaya as a government school on November 18, 1960, which had been a private educational institution before, the launch of its new beginning. The first principal of the college was Mrs. Josaline De Silva.[1]
