1918 - Reacting to anarchists protesting the Treaty of Brest-Litovsk, the USSR's Cheka raided several anarchist centers, killing around 40, and arresting upwards of 500 anarchists.
1919 - Mexican anarchist Emiliano Zapata (pictured) was killed by members of the Mexican military.
