Paolo Tasca (professor)

Paolo Tasca is an Italian-born economist and academic.[1][2] He is currently a professor at the University College London.

Early life and education

Tasca was born in Bassano del Grappa, Italy.[3] He earned his M.A from the University of Padua and his M.Sc. from the Ca' Foscari University of Venice.[4] In addition, he pursued his PhD studies at both the Ca' Foscari University and ETH Zurich.[4]

Career

Tasca is a professor at the University College London.[5][6] He is also the founder and incumbent executive director of the Centre for Blockchain Technology at University College London.[7][8] Previously, he worked as a senior research economist at Deutsche Bundesbank.[4]

As an advisor, Tasca has worked with multiple international organizations, including the EU Parliament.[4]

Tasca is the author of two books, namely The FinTech Book and Banking Beyond Banks and Money.[9] He has also worked as an editor of the Journal of Risk Finance and the Journal of Digital Banking.[10][11]
