RTVC Sistema de Medios Públicos (abbreviation of Radio Televisión Nacional de Colombia, known by its acronym 'RTVC' ) is a public radio and television entity of Colombia, created by Decree 3525 of October 28, 2004, by dissolving Inravisión and its public production company Audiovisuales, under the government of President Álvaro Uribe Vélez.

RTVC is a state entity, linked to the Ministry of Information Technologies and Communications and its function is to produce, program and operate state radio and television services, such as Señal Colombia, Canal Institucional, Radio Nacional de Colombia and Radiónica. In addition, it manages a network of eight state channels with regional coverage.

With the refocusing of RTVC's administration, the entity launched the web stations Signal Classic and Signal Llanera. In addition, it has the Memoria Signal platform, whose programming is made up of the audiovisual archives of radio and television in Colombia, and RTVCPlay OTT Service, the free entertainment content platform. Currently RTVC also has RTVC Noticias, everyone's newscast, with information on Colombia and its regions in its own accent.

In compliance with point 6.5 of the Peace Agreement, signed between the National Government and the FARC component, RTVC Public Media System has 16 National Radio stations in operation of Colombia, waiting to implement 4 more in 2024, to complete the 20 contemplated in the Agreement.

These peace stations transmit cultural, musical and informative content that highlights regional cultures, enterprises and projects, with a focus on pedagogy on the contents of the Final Agreement.

Señal Memoria It is the most important audiovisual archive in Colombia that preserves approximately 170,000 audiovisual and sound documents, produced and broadcast by the National Radio since 1940 and by national public television since 1954, as well as film material produced since the 1940s.

The documents in the catalog are divided and organized into the following collections: History and Political Situation, Culture and Society, History of the Media and Colombia and the World.

Signal Memoria also has the mission of safeguarding the country's sound and audiovisual archive through the generation of its own content such as The Voice of Power, a transmedia project that analyzes the speech of the presidents of Colombia in the second half of the century XXs and the century XXIs, or The Stories of Diana Uribe, a podcast to learn about the natural and cultural diversity of Colombia.

RTVC Noticias RTVC Noticias is the first newscast of the Colombian Public Media System, which reports in a timely and dynamic manner, with a focus on regions and relevant content that contributes to the construction of citizenship.

With correspondents in the main cities of the world, it has a special focus on the regions, with its own journalists and the support of the Radio Nacional team in municipalities where no other media outlet reaches.

Another of its characteristics is its convergent spirit, in collaboration with all the platforms of the System, as well as the special coverage and breaking news bulletins throughout the Señal Colombia programming.

This news is broadcast from Monday to Friday, at 12 noon and 7:00 p.m., as well as on weekends and holidays, at 7:00 p.m.

Señal de la Mañana Señal de la Mañana is RTVC's morning news program on Radio Nacional and the Canal Institutional, with a convergent proposal on television, social networks and digital platforms.

With a team of journalists, distributed throughout the national territory from San Andrés to Leticia, Signal of the Morning is heard from 6 to 10 in the morning through the 68 frequencies of Radio Nacional, which include the Emisoras de Paz, and is also watch on Institutional Channel from 6 to 8 a.m.
