Mikael Höglund

Mikael Höglund (born 15 May 1962) is a Swedish bass player who is best known for his work with the rock bands Great King Rat and Thunder.

Höglund started playing bass guitar at the age of 14. He first played in a local band called Tryckvåg. In 1990, he joined the band Great King Rat, which released two albums before disbanding in 1992.

In 1993, Höglund joined Thunder, replacing original bassist Mark Luckhurst. He played on the band's 1995 album "Behind Closed Doors", which was a commercial success. He also appeared on the band's live albums "Live Circuit", "Their Finest Hour...and a bit" and ”Live at the BBC”.

Mikael Höglund left Thunder in 1996 to pursue other projects. He has since played with a variety of bands, including Airstream, Jekyll & Hyde, Alfonzetti, Audiovision, and Beautiful Grey.

Höglund is a talented bass player who is known for his powerful and melodic playing. He is also a versatile musician who is able to play a variety of styles. He is a valuable asset to any band and is sure to continue to make a name for himself in the music industry.
