Manisha Rani

Manisha Rani (born 9 June 1997[1][2]) is an Indian actress known for working in Hindi Television and music videos. She has appeared in reality shows, television serials, and music videos. Manisha Rani gained popularity with her performance in the reality show Bigg Boss OTT (Hindi season 2).

Early life

Manisha was born in a middle-class family in the Munger District of Bihar to her father Manoj Kumar Chandi and mother Ragini Devi. In an interview, Manisha Rani revealed that her parents were separated when she was 8 years old and she along with her four siblings was raised by her father alone.[3][4]

Manisha Rani completed her education from her hometown in Munger and then she moved to Kolkata to learn dancing. In Kolkata, she took various jobs like working as a waitress,[5] background dancer, etc. In an interview, she revealed her struggle stories where she was locked in a room and forced to dance.[6][7][8]

Career

Manisha Rani first appeared on Indian Television in a dance reality show Dance India Dance Season 5.[9] Where she was evicted in the first round itself. After that, she appeared in the &TV serial Gudiya Hamari Sabhi Pe Bhari in 2020. In 2022, Manisha Rani made a guest appearance on The Kapil Sharma Show where she earned lots of praise and appreciation from Kapil Sharma, Kartik Aryan, Kiara Advani, and Archana Puran Singh.[10][11]

In 2023, Manisha Rani participated in the reality show Bigg Boss OTT Season 2 where she finished as the second runner-up.
