  1. Lower Maneru Dam was constructed at Karinmnagar city of Karimnagar district
  2. 2. Mid Maneru Dam was constructed at Manwada village Village in Boinpalli Mandal of Rajanna Sircilla district.
  3. 3. Upper Maneru Dam was constructed at Narmala village in Gambhiraopet mandal of Rajanna Sircilla district.

KCR Family is associated with Maneru

KCR's family has an inseparable connection with Maneru River. A tributary of Godavari, Maneru travels downstream through Siddipet, Sirisilla and Karimnagar districts. Three major projects have been built on this river. They are Upper Maneru, Mid Maneru and Lower Maneru. It is a coincidence that the villages of Chief Minister KCR's family drowned in all these three! During the construction of Upper Maneru Dam, Konapur, the native village of KCR's parents, was submerged. KCR's mother-in-law's village Kodurupaka was flooded in the Mid Maneru project. Lakshmi Kanthamma and Kesha Rao's house and fields were submerged in the project. Lakshmikanthamma's sister Shyamala and Ramchander Rao's village Vachunoor drowned in Lower Maneru Dam near Karimnagar. Chief Minister KCR has shared these things with the people from many forums.
