Kurdish Republic of Lachin

The Kurdish Republic of Lachin was a shortlived unrecognised Kurdish State in the former Kurdistan Uezd[1] it was created when A Kurdish nationalist organization in the area, the "Caucasian Kurdistan Freedom Movement", proclaimed the establishment of the Kurdish Republic of Lachin,[2] after Armenian troops entered the town 2 days later.[3] However, most of the local Kurdish population had by then fled, and the attempt quickly proved abortive.[4][5]
