History
The organisation was founded in 2021 by pharmaceutical businessman Eugene Rubonera Junior after the FERWABA announced to create a national second division for men's teams.[1] Cyril Kalima assumed the function of head coach.
When we started in August 2021, we were playing in the lower division(D2) of the league, but we quickly showed our potential and worked hard to climb the ranks. Our team was built around a group of talented players who were dedicated to improving their skills and working together as a unit.
As the season progressed, we continued to surprise our opponents with our speed, agility, and precision on the court. And then came the two trophies. The first trophy was a validation of all the hard work and dedication that our team had put at the starting point during the pre-season. It was a symbol of our resilience and determination in the face of adversity.
The second trophy was the ultimate prize. We had come so far in such a short amount of time, and this trophy was a statement to our unwavering commitment to excellence. It was proof that anything is possible if you work hard enough and believe in yourself and your team. Our undefeated winning streak earned us a promotion to the higher division, where we were faced with even tougher competition but one that we were ready for.
Despite the challenge, our team remained focused and determined to succeed. With renewed determination, our move to the highest division of the league was met with skepticism by some, but we were undeterred. We continued to work hard and focus on improving our skills and teamwork, and we started to win games against some of the top teams (longtime champions) in the league.
As we reflect on our journey to success, we are proud of how far we have come and excited about what the future holds for our team. We will continue to work hard, improve our skills, and strive for excellence, knowing that anything is possible with the right mindset and dedication.
The Titans entered the RBL Division 2 in their debut season, and immediately won the 2021–22 championship that earned the promotion to the top-flight league.[2] The finals of the Division 2 were won 2–0 over Orion BBC. In their second season, the Titans signed international players William Perry, Francis Azolibe and Álvaro Calvo Masa.[3]
