In 2001, most of the shares in Lithuania's two leading breweries were bought by Denmark-based Royal Unibrew. In 2003, the breweries of Kalnapilis and Vilniaus Tauras were merged into Kalnapilio-Tauro grupė UAB.
In 2022 company stopped exports to Russia and Belarus.[2]
