In 1999, Vanhove was voted best Belgian jazz vocalist in the jazz poll of Radio 3 (now Klara).

Hilde Vanhove shared the stage with jazz artists such as Reggie Johnson, Jef Neve, Peter Hertmans, Bruno Castellucci, Gianni Basso, Sal La Rocca, Michel Herr, Lindsey Horner, John Engels, Pascal Michaux, Hein van de Geyn and Billy Hart.[1]

She has been heard in jazz clubs, such as Music Village, Hopper, le Caveau du Max, Sheraton Brussels Airport, L'Inoui in Luxembourg, Blue Bird in Italy,[2] and jazz festivals, such as Jazz à Liège, Frameries Jazz Festival, Audi Jazz, Lust auf Jazz Aachen and Breda Jazz Festival.[3][4]

Since 2001 she has been part of the German-Belgian jazz trio "Sounds and Grooves", with Michael Kotzian (piano), Hilde Vanhove (vocals) and Stefan Werni (double bass). The repertoire consists mainly of swinging jazz and Latin. In 2015, "Sounds and Grooves" recorded the CD "Two Concerts".[5]

For the recording of her album Insense (2003), she put together an internationally renowned ensemble with pianist Michel Herr, Hein van de Geyn (double bass), Billy Hart (drums) and trumpeter Bert Joris.[6]
