Herbert Salzman
Herbert Salzman (May 2, 1916 – December 23, 1990) was an American businessman who served as the United States Ambassador to the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development from 1977 to 1981.[1]

His parents were Russian immigrants, and he was born in Brooklyn, New York.[2] He attended public schools there and, in 1934, the Reali School of Haifa, Palestine.[2] He graduated cum laude from Yale College in 1938, and studied at Columbia University in 1954.[2]
He died of leukemia on December 23, 1990, in Manhattan, New York City, New York at age 74.[3]
