Harrison Ball

Harrison Ball was born on April 12, 1993, in Houston, Texas. At the age of 13, Ball was discovered by Jock Soto, who brought him to New York City and started his training at the official school of New York City Ballet (NYCB), The School of American Ballet (SAB), in 2007.[4][2][5]

Ball attended Professional Children’s School in New York City and completed his High School Diploma in 2009.[1] Ball was one of four students chosen to become an apprentice with New York City Ballet, under the directorship of Peter Martins, in 2011.[5]

In the Winter of 2017, Ball was promoted to Soloist dancer and then to principal dancer in February of 2022.[2] In the October of same year, he made his choreographic debut in a professional company with ‘Purcell Suite’ for New Jersey Ballet.[6][7] Ball danced roles in ballets choreographed by George Balanchine, Jerome Robbins, William Forsythe, Benjamin Millipied, Susan Stroman, Jorma Elo, Troy Schumacher, Mauro Bigonzetti, August Bournenville, and Angelin Preljocaj.[4]

On April 30, 2023, Ball resigned from New York City Ballet due to physical.[2] His last performance was at Lincoln Center, where he performed George Balanchine’s Square Dance, Jerome Robbin’s Afternoon of a Faun, and George Balanchine’s Haieff Divertimento. Then, he started attending Esper Studios and began to pursue a career in acting and movies.[1][4]
