The governor of Bali is the Head of the Level I Region who holds the government in Bali along with the Deputy Governor and 55 members of the Bali Regional House of Representatives۔ The Governor and Deputy Governor of Bali are elected through general elections which are held every 5 years.

Notes

  1. A member of the Preparatory Committee for Indonesian Independence (PPKI), Pudja was appointed to be Governor of the newly formed Province following the end of Japanese occupation of the Dutch East Indies.[2]
  2. Pudja's tenure as Governor was vacated after he handed over power to the Balinese Council of Kings following arrest by the Dutch during the period of the Indonesian National Revolution.[3]
