Fălești
Fălești (Romanian pronunciation: [fəˈleʃtʲ]) is a city and the administrative center of Fălești District, Moldova.

In January 2011, the population of Fălești was estimated to be 17,800.
History
The town had an important Jewish community before World War II, 51% of the total population.[2] The Jews were murdered during the Holocaust.[3][4]
Climate
On 7 August 2012, Fălești recorded a temperature of 42.4 °C (108.3 °F), which is the highest temperature to have ever been recorded in Moldova.[5]
