Eastern Province, Afghanistan
Eastern Province (Pashto: ختیځ ولایت, romanized: Xëtiź Wilāyat) is a defunct province of Afghanistan, dissolved in 1964 to create Nangarhar Province. The former province's capital was Jalalabad.
