Background

After the launch of her project Near Life Experience: Part 2, Devine made the decision to part ways with her former label, Warner Records.[2] The first single from the project, titled Push It Down, was released on April 24, 2023, accompanied by its music video.[3] Following that, the second single, Misscommunikaty, was released on July 20, 2023. Devine describes the song as being "about feeling disconnected in an overly connected world”.[4]On August 29, 2023, the album was announced for pre-order, coinciding with the release of its third single, Laundry Day.[5]
