National Tea Day

National Tea Day is observed in the United Kingdom every year on 21 April to celebrate the drinking of tea.[1] It is celebrated in tea rooms, hotels, pubs and cafés through special events,[2] and charitable fundraising events held across the country,[3] including a tea 'Fes-Tea-Val' at Chiswick House & Gardens in London.[2][4] Tea brands and press outlets run promotions and features in conjunction with the day, including The Independent,[5] Metro[6] and The Telegraph,[7] as well as local newspapers.[8][9] The day is observed to celebrate the British tea culture and is celebrated in other countries such as the U.S. to enjoy British teas.
