Lambert attended the Jets 2022 training camp and pre-season and prior to the 2022–23 season, he was signed to a three-year, entry-level contract with the Jets on 13 October 2022.[6] He was immediately re-assigned to join AHL affiliate, the Manitoba Moose.[7] After 14 games with the Moose, the Jets assigned Lambert to the WHL's Seattle Thunderbirds, where he won the 2023 Ed Chynoweth Cup as WHL champions. The Thunderbirds then reached the final of the 2023 Memorial Cup, but were defeated there by the Quebec Remparts.[8]
