Battle
According to Mazniashvili's order, the communications of Tuapse were first blocked, and then an imitation of the transfer of the Georgian landing force near Arkhipo-Osipovka was carried out. At night "St. "Mikhail" bombarded the opponent's cannons and the artillery battery near the Novorossiysk lighthouse, thus opening the way for the advance of the Georgian units. The opponent strongly resisted Mazniashvili's army, which had to take all the heights by fighting.
On July 26, at 20:00 in the evening, after 12 hours of heavy fighting, the Georgian army entered Tuapse.[2] The 1,200-strong Russian army moved north to Armavir. Naalafar consisted of 4 cannons, 12 machine guns, 5 steamers, automobiles, various ammunition and a large property. The Georgian side lost one and wounded 10 soldiers. Taras Vashakidze, the commander of the Gagri Front, was appointed as the governor-general of the city. 28 ships standing in the port of Tuapse were distributed to the commercial port of Poti and the military fleet.[3]
