Battle of Gochouri
Battle of Gochouri (1623) was a battle between Odisha Chief Levan II Dadian and King George III of Imereti. Dissatisfied with the strengthening of Levan II Dadiani, King George III prepared for a campaign against Odisha in 1623. Levan II Dadian, who was accompanied by an army of Abkhazians invaded Imereti and defeated the king near Gochoura (near Kutaisi). After the Battle of Gochouri, the political superiority of Levan II Dadian in western Georgia became obvious.
