High school career
Chiles attended Downey High School in Downey, California.[1] As a senior, he passed for 3,350 yards and 38 touchdowns with five interceptions.[2] He was selected to play in the 2023 All-American Bowl. Chiles committed to Oregon State University to play college football.[3][4]
College career
Chiles competed with DJ Uiagalelei and Ben Gulbranson for the starting job his first year at Oregon State in 2023.[5][6] Uiagalelei won the competition with Chiles appearing in games as a backup.[7]
