Notes:
- If the league champions cannot qualify for the AFC Champions League group stage, they will enter the AFC Cup group stage.
- R&F are not a full member of the Hong Kong Football Association and are not eligible to represent Hong Kong in the AFC club competitions.[11]
- Head-to head results for teams with 32 points: Southern 4 points; Kitchee 1 point.
- Kitchee qualified for the AFC Cup play-off round as Hong Kong FA Cup winners.
- Dreams FC announced on 11 July 2019 that they would self-relegate due to lack of funds.[12]
Positions by round
To preserve chronological evolvements, any postponed matches are not included to the round at which they were originally scheduled, but added to the full round they were played immediately afterwards. For example, if a match is scheduled for round 7, but then played between rounds 8 and 9, it will be added to the standings for round 8.
