In Traditional Chinese Medicine, the classic formula "Ta Yang Tang" (榻痒汤), is designed for EXTERNAL APPLICATION ONLY. It is used to wash the affected (itchy) areas, and consists of the following ingredients (decoction consists of these ingredients boiled in 2 liters of water):
