  1. Covet not a gold-threaded robe,
  2. Cherish only your young days!
  3. If a bud blooms, gather it,
  4. Lest you but wait for an empty bough.
  1. 劝君莫惜金缕衣，
  2. 劝君惜取少年时。
  3. 花开堪折直须折，
  4. 莫待无花空折枝。
  1. quàn jūn mò xī jīn lǚ yī,
  2. quàn jūn xī qǔ shàonián shí.
  3. huā kāi kān zhé zhí xū zhé,
  4. mò dài wú huā kōng zhé zhī.
