Required Workup

Required:

  • Diagnostic bilat mammo
  • Path review (including ER, PR)
  • US and Biopsy if there are suspicious LNs
  • LFT/AlkPhos if positive -> CTAP/bone scan
  • Genetic counseling if high risk


  • High risk indicators for genetic counseling
    • Known mutation in FH
    • 2 breast primaries in family member
    • 2 FH same side with 1 50yo
    • ovarian CA, Male breast CA
    • 2nd degree relative BCA 45yo
    • FH of 3 or more:
      • CA's: Breast, Pancreatic, Prostate, Melanoma, Sarcoma, Adrenocortical carcinoma, brain, leukemia, diffuse gastric, colon, endometrial, thyroid RCC
      • Dermatologic manifestations, Macrocephaly, hamartomatous polyps
