One demarcates questions in Klingon either by using the suffix 'a' or any of various "question words" (analagous to who, when, where, etc.).
Vocabulary
Da- prefix: Subject you object it, he, or she
qIp: hit (v.)
ghoS: approach (v.)
mang: soldier (n.)
'a'
One uses this Type 9 verb suffix to ask about whether the subject of the sentence does the action to which 'a' is appended.
Example:
Dalegh'a'

Question words

- how many, how much
- 'Iv

The question words for what, and who are used as either the subject or object in the sentence. For example, 'Iv qIp means "It hits who?" Convsersely, qIp 'Iv would mean "Who hits it?".
'ar follows the noun that it refers too. For example: ghoS mang 'ar means "How many soldiers approach?"
Other question words come at the start of the sentence.
