Quasars are typically massive and extremely remote to the other entities within space's "fabric". They emit huge amounts of energy and show up as a star in telescopic imagery. As this is only theory, is has to be suggested, they represent the evolutionary sequence of many galaxies that are classified as a quasar. It is also important to note that these usually contain many super-massive black holes.
