Cerastium vulgatum, one of several closely related species referred mouse-ear chickweed, is a low-growing winter annual native to Europe, but invasive in North America.
Description
Low and spreading (but decumbent when in flower), hairy winter annual with white flowers.
Ecology
Invasive in North America, and a troublesome weed of gardens and sparse lawns.
